An evening of iso-polyphony in Lazarat

Polyphonic groups from Lazarat and nearby villages sing together in an evening open to everyone.

Iso-polyphony is the heart of Lab song and UNESCO-listed heritage. On this evening, groups of singers from Lazarat and the villages around Gjirokastër take the stage with wedding songs, songs of emigration and shepherds' songs.

Between songs the singers share the stories behind them and explain how the voices divide within a group. At the end of the evening the audience is invited to join the iso.

Entry is free. There will be mountain tea, homemade sweets and local products for sale from the village's artisans.
